About

I started out in creative media — 3D animation, video, design. Working as a pipeline TD taught me the fundamentals of programming early on: scripting tools in Python, thinking in systems, making repetitive work disappear. When I wanted to go deeper into software development, front-end felt like the natural bridge — still visual and creative, but properly technical.

I spent a few years as a front-end developer, including building a design system from the ground up. That work sharpened my understanding of software principles I'd only partly grasped before — component architecture, state management, maintainability at scale. Coming back to pipeline development afterwards, I brought a lot of that thinking with me.

Now I'm drawn to the broader IT side of things — hardware, networking, infrastructure. I like understanding how the whole stack fits together, from physical machines up to the software running on them.

Outside of work I shoot photography — mostly landscapes and street. I enjoy hiking, which conveniently gives me plenty of both. And like a lot of people in this field, I grew up gaming and never really stopped.
